Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School: K-8 Classroom Renovation

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic SchoolMelbourne, FL

Brixner furnished K-8 classrooms at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School in Melbourne, FL with grouped activity tables and stack seating sized for every grade band — planned and installed around the school's schedule.

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School is a K-8 parish school in Melbourne, Florida. In fall 2026, Brixner worked with the school to renovate furniture across multiple elementary classrooms — moving away from fixed, single-student desks toward grouped activity tables and stack seating that give teachers more ways to arrange a room.

Activity Tables Sized for Group Work

Each classroom was fitted with trapezoid-shaped activity tables. The wedge shape is the point: four tables push together into a single large worksurface for whole-class instruction, or split apart into smaller pods for group work and centers — without the room needing a different table for each configuration. Tables are sized to each grade band, and all of it moves, so a teacher can reset the floor plan between a lesson and small-group reading without calling facilities.

Seating That Matches the Room

Stack chairs were specified by classroom, not as one standard order. In one room, chairs run green and gray to match a reading-corner theme; in another, a four-color set (yellow, orange, green, red) marks out table groups at a glance — useful for a teacher managing which students sit where. Every chair stacks and nests, so a room can be cleared for assemblies or cleaning without the furniture becoming the obstacle.

Planned Around the School Calendar

As a single-campus parish school, Holy Name of Jesus doesn't have a facilities department sizing this kind of project every year. Brixner handled the room-by-room furniture plan, ordered and tracked each classroom's furniture, and managed delivery and installation on a schedule that worked around the school's own calendar rather than the other way around.

The result is a set of classrooms built to be rearranged — not furnished once for one layout and left that way for the next decade.
