Shepherd Insurance: Office Furniture Build-Out

Shepherd Insurance's Sarasota office mixes two very different needs under one roof: an open team of agents and support staff who need workstations, and individual producers who need a private, client-facing office for coverage reviews and renewals. Brixner furnished the full space as one project — 20 cubicle workstations, 10 private offices, and a breakroom — completed in spring 2026.

An Open Floor Built for a Team

The open-plan area runs on paneled cubicle workstations with glass-topped privacy screens — enough separation for phone calls and focused work without walling off the room. A second cluster of bench-style desks, divided by tall navy privacy screens, gives a smaller team its own identity within the same open floor. Every desk includes task seating and under-desk storage, so the workstation is complete on day one rather than finished later with whatever was on hand.

Private Offices for Client-Facing Work

An insurance office runs on one-on-one conversations — policy reviews, claims, renewals — so the ten private offices were furnished to support that directly. Each has an L-shaped desk with an overhead storage hutch and at least one guest chair for a client sitting down across the desk. A few of the larger offices add a small conference table and extra seating, giving producers a room that can host a short client meeting without booking a separate conference room.

One Vendor, One Schedule

Brixner planned the layout, specified the furniture for both the open floor and the private offices, and managed delivery and installation as a single project rather than separate orders for each space. The breakroom was furnished as part of the same scope, giving the office a finished common area alongside the workstations and offices.
